I’m happy to announce that I’ll be developing a performative 3d printer during my December residency at den Haag’s iii.
I aim to construct machine that can freely move across given space only limited by the walls of the room. In the later stage of the project, I’d aim to access g-code of the printer to gain direct control of it and embed it with environment sensing ability to approach a printer as a performative entity.
Eventually, I would like to print a large scale procedural sculpture that would signify symbolic birth of the 3rd printer as an agent of reproduction.
